About Our Homestead Farm

Pawsable Dreams Vista is a small, woman-owned, handicapped-owned homestead farm that came about accidentally. Jen Taylor, owner and operator, was forced to retire from her career as a clinical counselor due to a life-altering chronic illness that leaves her permanently handicapped. Right before moving to Colorado from the east coast in 2020, her amazing dog, Xena, who had innate service dog traits, died suddenly from cancer. Left with a devastating emptiness where both dog and career used to be, Jen discovered the Colorado Mountain Dog (CMD) - which has many of the traits Xena had, and began raising poultry to give her first CMDs something to guard. Finding the animals therapeutic, and as her pack of dogs grew, Jen decided to add Kunekune pigs to her menagerie and shortly after that, an opportunity to add Idaho Pasture Pigs presented itself - giving the pack even more to guard, and providing the opportunity for Jen to raise more healthy, organic food for her family. The combination of caring for the animals in the fresh Colorado air and eating the unadulterated food they provide has helped improve her health, and we hope the products we offer to you will provide the same health benefits.
